Melatonin-Forte

Melatonin is a hormone made by the epiphysis when it starts to get dark. It is made from tryptophan, an amino acid, and serotonin, a neurotransmitter. If your day / night rhythm is disturbed, you can cause problems in the production of melatonin. Night work, jetlagging, insufficient sun exposure during the day, stress or lack of exercise thus also hamper the production of melatonin. Symptoms related to melatonin deficiency include:  : having difficulty falling asleep, waking up easily during the night and having restless sleep. In addition to sleeping problems, melatonin can also be activated as an antioxidant or in cases of reduced immunity.
